My Approach

I am formally trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which is a fancy way of saying that I believe that our thoughts, emotions and behaviors are all linked together to make up how we feel, behave and interact with ourselves and others around us.  While all of those things combined can be overwhelming, I believe that when you learn to break them down into smaller, more manageable/understandable parts, you begin to create spaces of growth that foster improved self-esteem, effective communication and lessen depression, anxiety and stress.

I believe that a healthy balanced lifestyle is the key to personal happiness.  A combination of psychotherapy, yoga, mindfulness, meditation and essential oils is what helps you achieve that.  It is my goal at The Peaceful Peacock to create a therapeutic space where clients are able to engage in some or all of the above components to balance their individual needs and lifestyle.
